Multiple iPhone 8 Rumors Backed up By Leaked Video

The latest round of leaked iPhone 8 images, which were published on Tuesday to Twitter, appear to align quite well with the design aesthetic information that was leaked to iDrop News alongside our concepts of Apple’s upcoming iPhone Edition — a.k.a. the iPhone 8.

Posted to Twitter by gadget leaker, Steve Hemmerstoffer, the image and accompanying YouTube video allegedly depict a rendering of the forthcoming iPhone 8 flagship based on a computer animated design (CAD) schematic that Hemmerstoffer says came straight from the iPhone factory in Asia. Check out the YouTube video and accompanying CAD image below.

The device showcased in the brief YouTube video boasts a sleek glass front and back panel — fused together by a slightly thicker stainless steel frame — with the front of the deice almost entirely occupied by what’s expected to be a curved, nearly edge-to-edge OLED display, which itself could measure as large as 5.8-inches. The device also shows two cameras on the front, with one positioned on each side of the receiver, which will likely enable Apple’s revolutionary new 3D imaging technology.

Meanwhile, the rear of the handset appears to be constructed of some sort of steel or aluminum alloy — capped with glass so as to enable wireless charging — and boasts the oft-rumored dual-lens camera system, which has been shifted to a vertical orientation for the sake of maximizing the quality of images captured when the handset is held in landscape mode.

In a subsequent Tweet, however, Hemmerstoffer appears to admit that he is unsure about the validity of this render, saying “I can’t confirm this is 100% accurate.” Of course, while it could very well be the real deal, and appears to align just beautifully with several of the conceptual design changes first brought to light by our iPhone Edition leak.

Hemmerstoffer is among the most historically reliable sources of leaked information, particularly as it pertains to unreleased electronic devices that are inherently being manufactured in the Far East. Back in May of last year, for example — several months before the official unveiling of its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus handsets, Hemmerstoffer leaked an array of schematics that faithfully depicted Apple’s current flagship.

Apple has also been rumored to be testing multiple prototypes of its so-called iPhone 8, which could also be christened as either the ‘iPhone Edition’ or ‘iPhone X’ to commemorate iPhone’s milestone 10th anniversary.
