Can’t wait for Black Friday? T-Mobile might have you covered.
T-Mobile has officially dubbed this coming Friday, Nov. 18, “Magenta Friday,” and it is rolling out a slew of holiday deals from Friday to Sunday, Nov. 20, the company announced Wednesday.
“It’s time to start your holiday shopping early, and the Un-carrier is kicking things off with a bang this weekend on Magenta Friday,” CEO John Legere said in a press release.
As part of the promotion, T-Mobile will begin offering two free lines for families of four. Users who nab the deal can apply those free lines to either a tablet or a smartphone — and won’t be charged a single cent for them. The offer will be available for T-Mobile’s ONE and Simple Choice plans. And it could save a family some serious cash on extra lines. For example, a family of four on a ONE plan, for example, will only have to pay $35 a line, a month, with unlimited calls, texts and data for each.
“We know families work to stretch their budgets during the holiday season, so I love giving our Un-carrier customers a little — ok, a lot of extras this time of year,” Legere said.
For those who don’t have four family members they could add to a plan, T-Mobile also announced several Black Friday deals that they’ll offer from Nov. 24 through Nov. 27.
The company is offering a free Samsung Galaxy S7 upgrade when customers trade in a Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 or other device after signing a 24-month finance agreement. Looking to get into VR? T-Mobile is also giving away a free Gear VR and $50 Oculus store gift card with each Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge — even the free trade-in option mentioned above.
Additionally, T-Mobile is offering a free Samsung Tab E or LG Gpad X tablet after 24 months on a tablet plan, $70 off the UE Boom 2 speakers, $30 off the LG Tone Pro 760 Bluetooth headset, and $50 off the Powerstation Mini external charger, the company added.
