[Note: The original video has been deleted. See an alternate copy of the video below] There’s been no shortage of leaks, rumors, renders and concepts of this year’s upcoming flagship iPhone, known alternatively as the iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone Edition — depending on who you ask. But a new video featuring an alleged dummy of the premium device has us even more excited.
The Hebrew-language video, uploaded to YouTube by Israeli tech journalist Shai Mizrachi, shows off a gorgeous mockup of the iPhone X — which pulls together the wealth of rumors surrounding the device. The device is extremely sleek, and the combination of its glass sandwich design and bezel-free, edge-to-edge display is nothing short of stunning.
Notably, the dummy model lacks any sort of rear-mounted Touch ID fingerprint scanner — hinting at a display-embedded solution. The dual-camera module is also vertically aligned, and while a bit wider than the iPhone 7 Plus module, it sits flusher with the back of the device. The device is also very compact due to its lack of bezels, and is especially svelte when you factor in its large 5.15-inch display. Mizrachi does not turn on the device — but if you want to see what the new iPhone might look like running iOS 11, you can do that here.
The dummy is allegedly modeled after the iPhone X as it will appear at launch. Mizrachi has leaked information about several devices in the past, and he’s been a pretty credible source before. So while there’s no guarantee that the dummy will look exactly like the iPhone X when it’s unveiled, it’s still a realistic mockup of how the device is rumored to look.
Aside from its stunning updated design, this year’s premium iPhone is also expected to feature wireless charging, advanced 3D and augmented reality capabilities, facial and iris biometric security features and increased water resistance. Along with an iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, the premium iPhone X is largely expected to be unveiled in September before shipping in October, or even November.
