How to Screenshot Your iPhone

How to Screenshot Your iPhone

As you are scrolling through your social media feed, you might come across a hilarious meme you want to text to a friend. You might also want to take a snapshot of the current level you are in on a mobile game to brag to your friends about your accomplishment. Luckily, you do not have to find a camera to take a picture of your phone because to be honest, that would look a tad silly.

All versions of the iPhone come with the ability to take a screenshot of whatever is currently on your screen. This screenshot provides you with a picture that is sent to your photo album, and you can then send that image to people via text or email. If you are curious as to how to screenshot your iPhone, here are the steps to take.

  1. Make sure the image you want to capture is open on your iPhone.
  2. Locate the Home and Lock button on your phone.
  3. Press down and hold the Home and Lock button at the same time.
  4. Your screen will briefly flash white. (This indicates that a screenshot has been taken).
  5. View your screenshot by going to your Photos album. Tap the thumbnail of your screenshot to view it full screen.
  6. Share the picture however you please.
