Uber Self-Driving Vehicles Continue Testing After Latest Crash

An Uber semi-autonomous Volvo SUV was involved in a non-life threatening collision in Tempe, Arizona on Friday temporarily halting the program for further inspection.

Monday morning it was announced that Uber has resumed its self-driving operations in San Francisco and will continue operations in Pittsburgh, and Tempe, later in the day.

The decision to resume operations came after it was determined Uber’s Volvo was not the cause of the incident. Rather another vehicle failed to yield to the self-driving SUV, causing it to flip on its side, according to police reports.

Although this isn’t the first misfortune Uber’s self-driving vehicles have been graced with, Uber is very confident in returning the vehicles to the road according to Bloomberg.
