Apple Could Unveil New iPad Models on Tuesday, April 4

Though Apple has so far been quiet about its forthcoming iPad refreshes rumors have been swirling around the likelihood of seeing as many as three — and perhaps even four — new iPad models being unveiled sometime this spring. According to previous reports, these models will, with all but certainly, include upgrades to the 9.7- and 12.9-inch iPads, as well as a dramatically redesigned 10.5-inch iPad Pro boasting a truly edge-to-edge display.

Recent reports have even suggested that we might see a refreshed ‘iPad mini Pro’, too; however the details about that 7.9-inch device remain scarce at this time.

Well, according to a report that was issued earlier this morning by Steve Sande of Apple World Today, it may not be much longer until we find out what Apple has in store for its next-generation iPad lineup. Sande, having noticed “an interesting pattern” in the availability of iPads past, suggested in his report that Tuesday, April 4, 2017, would be an ideal date for Apple to take the wraps off its next-gen tablets.

Sande even goes on to predict that the iPad unveiling event could take place at Apple’s new campus, Apple Park, in Cupertino, California, which has been slated for an early April grand-opening. Specifically, he suggested that the event could take place at the property’s underground, 1,000-seat Steve Jobs Theatre.

Either way, numerous reports have centered around the company showing off its new iPads sometime this spring — perhaps even in the month of March — although some of the more advanced models, including the 10.5- and 12.9-inch iPad Pros, might not officially launch until later in May or June of this year.

As far as the details about these devices are pertinent, we don’t know much other than that they should feature Apple’s True Tone display technology, upgraded ‘A10X’ processors, and, according to BGR, they could even feature a stationary home button similar to what the company employed on its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Are you patiently waiting to upgrade to one of Apple’s next-generation iPads?
